Little man, big packing

We are going on holiday to Spain next weekend.  It will be our first trip abroad with Sam and I am feeling a certain amount of trepidation.  What will he be like having to get up at 3am to get the flight?  Will he kick off on the plane?  How will he cope with the heat?  One of the most immediate issues though is what we need to pack.  Pretty much everything he owns as it turns out.  Given that Jo doesn't pack light either, that means we either pay a huge excess baggage fee or I get to take a pair of pants and a flip flop.  Clearly it will be the latter.  Again, this is the family pecking order at work.  When it comes to holiday packing men are perceived as least in need of suitcase space.   And so it will come to pass that this time next week our luggage will be full of hair straighteners, arm bands and fake tan.  And a size ten flip flop.
