Actions and words

Just come back from a weekend in Cornwall with Sam, Jo, Hazel and Stu. It was lovely, a big holiday home in a beautiful location near a place called Crackington Haven. Sam was being particularly hilarious. He has taken to doing these vigorous cycling motions with his legs, either when I take him 'flying' (on my arm) or when he is in the bath. It's like he is trying to power an invisible pedalo and he wears this determined look of concentration as he does it. He had all of us on the floor in hysterics last night. Physically, he is stronger than he has ever been. he has 'dinner ladies arms' at the moment, chubby and pink but hasn't quite mastered the crawling thing yet and is still in the habit of rocking backwards and forwards on the spot and getting a bit frustrated or falling forward on his face.
For the last two nights Hazel and Stu had him sleeping in their room. Apparently he has been 'talking' to himself a lot during the night, bascially a series of squeaks, grunts and gibberish as he limbers up his vocal chords for speech. We even think he may be very close to his first word which sounds like it may be 'hello', an altogether preferable choice to shit, bugger or fuck which he has probably heard a few too many times in the last few months.
