Brilliant boy

Sam has entered a lovely phase. Actually I hope it's not just a phase. He is more smiley and more inquistive than ever. I think his eyesite must be improving so he can see the expressions on our faces better than before because he is responding to them more often. He can roll over, he's got loads of different pitched gurgles and is standing almost unaided (but not quite). He loves playing. In fact he demands it. Being picked up and shot like a rocket into the air is one of his favourite things. He's just amazing.
And Sam's not the only one in a new phase. Turning 35 last week and sharing a birthday lunch with 8 other couples, 4 toddlers and 4 babies really brought it home where we are too. A young family with hopes and fears and aspirations and today at least, so much to look forward to.
