My family (but none of us all at once!)

England's best dressed supporter

England fans expect, none more so than one Mr Samuel Joseph Benjamin Royce in his customised baby suit who'll be screaming for Our Boys louder than anyone this evening.
To be honest, he already is....

TGI Friday

It's felt like a really long week, taken up predominantly with work. I had to go into the office last Sunday which wasn't ideal as it was meant to be our 'family day' and then be up on Tuesday morning at 5.30 for this pitch. I have been playing catch-up ever since.
As I thought, it is proving tricky to be on brilliant creative form with less sleep. I just don't feel as sharp and 'on it' as usual. I need to work out how to get the best out of myself in the alert hours that I do have.
Sam wasn't very well. He was feeding well enough but then bringing quite a bit of stuff up and looking like he was in real pain. Jo took him to the baby clinic and they suggested that he may be suffering from reflux or a bit of colic. They prescribed Gaviscon and Gripe water. He hates them both of course. We have tried to dilute them with breast milk but he's too clever for that.
Physically he is noticeably different now. The baby clinic weighed him at 11ibs 11oz which is in the upper something percentile of all babies. He feels heavier and he is definitely more alert than he was. His eyes are healthy too apparently which is a relief as I thought I might have blinded him when my camera flash went off in his face in the hospital..... And of course he is ridiculously cute. I could just look at him for hours and hours (if he wasn't screaming at me and pooing, obviously)
Really looking forward to spending some time with him this weekend. I have another week of Paternity Leave to take. The idea is that I will take the next five Friday's off - can't wait.
